Joe Caffery - Instructor

Joe Caffery is a detective with the Scott County Sheriff"s Office Special Operations Unit. He started his law enforcement career in 2000 and has dedicated the last seven years of his career in the field of narcotics and tactics. In 2003 Joe was assigned to the Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group Drug Task Force (QCMEG) as an under cover agent and then promoted to Supervisor of Covert/Overt Operations. He conducted street level narcotic buys, worked large scale conspiracy cases and drug trafficking cases on the state and federal level. In 2003 Joe became a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). Joe has been with SWAT since that time and currently serves as a team member, certified less lethal instructor and defensive tactics instructor. Joe is also a member of the Quad City Clandestine Laboratory Entry Team. In 2009 Joe formed a special operations unit within the Scott County Sheriff's Office, which is his current assignment. Joe has been involved in martial arts off and on for the past twenty years to include Tae Kwon Do and Aikido. Joe was introduced to Danny after attending a tactical class and became a student of traditional wing chun kung fu. Joe has since dedicated himself to the training of wing chun and Halligan's Combat Training System.
