Danny Halligan conducts a seminar in Tinley Park for NEMRT

Seminar participants, June 13, 2003

On June 13th 2003, Danny Halligan along with several of his advanced students conducted a Physical Skills/Tactical Combatives for Law Enforcement seminar for North East Mutli-Regional Training (NEMRT). NEMRT is the largest of Illinois' seventeen Mobil Training Units which are all a part of the state's ASSIST program. For more information about NEMRT check out their web page at www.nemrt.com.

The seminar was conducted at the Tinley Park, Illinois police department and was attended by officers from ten police departments.

Danny would like to thank all attending officers for their openness towards learning new concepts and skills and for their fantastic responses to them.

Comments from seminar participants:

I am a defensive tactics instructor, having attended a 40 hour PPCT course, and I learned more in 8 hours here than the entire D.T. instructors course.

Well thought out material, excellent instructors/demonstrations. Very personable/down to earth/friendly. Best class I have ever had at NEMERT. Makes you think of other tactical possibilities out there.

Taught me a lot. More ways to protect myself against violent attacks.

Geared well towards police. Very practical.

Hands on physical aspect exceptional. It is great to practice a technique after learning it. Instructors kept class moving and flowing great.

Very informative and useful information.

Excellent class. Opens your eyes. Should be manditory training. Instructors were extremely helpful and patient.

The Instructors! - very knowledgeable and patient with the group. I personally think this is a very needed class for law enforcement everywhere. It is effortless yet very effective. I will recommend this class for the rest of the officers in this department.

Great instructor to student ratio. I have never been to a class where the questions were not only answered but explained with demonstration.
