Danny Halligan conducts an Iowa Law Enforcement Seminar

Danny Halligan and a few selected students from Illinois and Iowa conducted a seminar for law enforcement officers in Independence on August 4, 2001. There were about 30 officers from different Iowa law enforcement agencies involved. Danny focused again on Wing Chun principles and applications for the street. As in the Chicago seminiar, many of the participants showed interest in continuing Wing Chun training.

Comments from Seminar Participants:
Easy to remember and to apply on the street. I liked it very much, it was easy to follow and understand.
The class was very informative. I learned things I could use in my job. I would be interested in learning more of this art.
Much of the art would be beneficial in my position. Some of the techniques are better than those I learned in previous training.
A very useful martial art that can be applied to everyday physical confrontations. Wing Chun can go from simple, non-offensive contact to simple yet very lethal moves. The instruction was awesome, the class was taught at an understandable level. I would like to see continual reinforcement through weekly training sessions.
Instruction was professional and conducted in a manner that was easy to receive.
Wing Chun is practical and easy to use. The instruction was good, things were explained very well.
Wing Chun is a whole new principle. It is different than anything I have learned so far. The instruction was very practical. We went over day to day situations.
Wing Chun would work well in law enforcement. The instruction was very thorough. The instructors too the time to make sure I understood each technique.
I believe Wing Chun could be very useful in law enforcement. The instruction was great, classroom participation was super. We just need more of it!
Wing Chun is not like the usual law enforcement training. The instructors were very knowledgeable.
Wing Chun seems very interesting. I would like to know more of the principles. The instruction good. We did things that were practical and there were plenty of instructors to help out.
