Danny Halligan conducts a seminar in Champaign for the Illinois Tactical Officers AssociationDanny Halligan and a few selected students from Illinois and Iowa conducted a seminar for law enforcement officers in Champaign on September 6, 2002. There were 10 officers from many different Illinois law enforcement agencies involved. Danny focused on Wing Chun principles and applications for the street. As in most of the other seminars we have done, many of the participants showed interest in continuing Wing Chun training. Seminar PhotosComments from seminar participants:sThe seminar was excellent. The instruction was great because of the ratio of instructors to students. It could not have been better. The material was practical; it was something we could use. I will send all of our officers as soon as I can. The seminar was very informative. I need to take it back to our department and implement what I learned immediately. Excellent training. Very practical and easy to use and remember. All of the instructors were very knowledgeable. Instructors gave individual, hands on training. Extremely useful. Couldn't get enough. The instruction was great. The instructors were very knowledgeable. I would like to see more of this training available because it is a very necessary part of our profession and it is very important that we keep up on new techniques. I learned a lot and wish I had had this sooner. There was a great teacher/student ratio that insured everyone got a chance to learn the techniques correctly. There was a lot of hands on, and everyone had a chance to take it all in. Great "hands on" seminar. Instructors were proficient, and there was a lot of interaction between instructors and students. Awesome class! The instruction was excellent, very professional. Excellent seminar. Excellent instruction and instructor. I learned techniques that will be very useful in my everyday street encounters. The instruction was very practical and real life. I would definitely like to study this art. This would be a great 40 hour course. I am a certified defensive tactics instructor, but I learned some great things. I thought the instruction was outstanding. I would like to see the training expanded to two days or more. |
