Charles Little

I have been in law enforcement since 1997, and I currently work for the third largest police department in Illinois. I am assigned to the SWAT team, which we call HBT. (Hostage Barricade and Terrorist team) I am an instructor for defensive tactics, MP5 machine gun, Colt AR 15, Less Lethal, and assault rifle.

I have always relied on my size, strength and wrestling background to get me through situations. At 6'2" and 265 lbs, I have the size, skills, strength that has allowed me to win during most confrontations. I truly feel that each and every confrontation and fight will be different and that to be successful in combat you have to use applications which are adaptable and simplistic. Because of this discovery, I attempted to find a combat effective system that would work best for me in my Law Enforcement career.

About a year ago, a friend of mine who is a Team Leader on his Department's SWAT team was telling me about a Law Enforcement Seminar that he had recently attended. He further stated that what he had learned in a short period of time has really helped with his combat skills and his ability to end conflicts using very little effort. I listened to everything that he had to say about Seminar and all of it seemed far to good to be true. My friend noticed my skepticism and simply asked me to attend a Seminar and judge for myself.

I approached the Seminar with a very open mind and no ego. I really enjoy learning new things, and I believe that I can always find something that I can use that will help. Within a few minutes of Danny's seminar I realized that even though I am much bigger and much stronger, Danny seemed to generate a lot of strength, speed and effectiveness in his applications with very little effort. He used my strength and size against me. I was amazed at how much power one can generate using Danny's principles. In just one Seminar and I learned more than applications are applicable to police and tactical work than I have learned in any other hand to hand skills class.

Since the first class, I have found myself telling others on the HBT team about the usefulness of Danny's training and how it can prepare them for life threatening situations. I recently attended another all day class that was instructed by Danny and I brought another friend of mine that is also a HBT team member. After the first hour of the training, I asked my friend what he thought about the Seminar and his answer sums it up, "My God, why didn't I take this training 15 years ago".

Thank you to Danny Halligan for providing me with instruction that may someday save my life, or the life of my teammates.
