Matthew W. McNamaraI am writing this letter to show my appreciation and gratitude towards Danny Halligan and articulate what his law enforcement seminars have meant to myself and all of the other Law Enforcement Officers that Danny has trained. I have been a Police Officer for 10 years and have been fortunate enough during that time to hold several highly responsible and dangerous positions including but not limited to the position of Assault Team Leader on our Tactical Response Team, Detective, and Undercover Narcotics Officer. The majority of my most dangerous assignments have been spent in the City of Chicago. I am Illinois State certified to instruct Building Searches, Room Entries, Assault Rifle Instructor School, Defensive Tactics/Physical Skills, and Advanced Handgun Skills. I am also currently a Director for our Illinois Tactical Officer's Association (ITOA) which is one of the largest Tactical Associations in the country. Within the ITOA, I am the physical skills committee chairman, responsible for bringing our membership the best hand to hand Law Enforcement Skills available. Through all of my experiences and training, Danny Halligan's instruction and training have given me the skills that have most often saved me from bodily harm and death. Since first attending Danny's Law Enforcement Physical Skills Seminars several years ago I can tell you that I have found nothing else has comes close to what he is capable of teaching. I have been fortunate in that I have traveled the country in my training learning from some of the best instructors in the world and none of them have given me the instant, take it on the street immediately and use it benefits as Danny's Seminars have. Danny's ability as an instructor to clearly articulate, demonstrate, and then transfer his physical skills and applications to Law Enforcement Officers is unmatched in comparison with any other training that I have been involved with. I have not experienced any other training that is always so unanimously successful and appreciated by each and every attending student. Matthew W. McNamara Deputy Chief, Cook County Sheriff's Department, Chicago, Illinois Director, Illinois Tactical Officer's Association |
